In this paper sample booklet for French Paper’s Duo-Tone Pack, paper and ink samples are brought to life by the personality of each face card. By personifying a deck through the lens of a gossip magazine, headlines and design elements create a personality for each face card. Di-cut flaps that reveal illustrations interact with the viewer, while a large accordion fold out creates emphasis and attention. 

The goal of this project was to create a unique system for displaying paper and ink samples that entice readers with an unexpected narrative, bringing life to something that is typically mundane. The tabloid-inspired headlines in conjunction with comic-like face card illustrations are used to produce an attention grabbing twist in this particular booklet.
